CodeMaster is a 2-round programming competition for developers in Ontario, Canada. For each round of the competition contestants will be presented with complex problems to solve. A live scoreboard will let contestants track their results against other top developers.

The online qualification round will open on October 21th, 4:00pm EST and close October 23th, 4:00pm EST. There is no registration or application needed to be filled out beforehand. Just come back to this site between the times listed above to get access to the tests. This round is open to developers in Ontario only.

Top scoring contestants from the online qualification round will be notified on 26th October 2016 and invited to participate in our live final round at SOTI headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario. Winners will be presented with a second challenge to complete onsite in the allocated time. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded at the Code Master Challenge After-Party.

Can I participate if I live outside of Ontario?

Unfortunately, no, CodeMaster Challenge is open to Contestants in Ontario only.

Is there a registration fee?

There is no fee to participate in the Challenge.

Which language(s) do I need to speak?

All aspects of the competition (communications, problem statements, etc.) will be in English. You're of course welcome to speak the language of your choice with other participants.

What browsers are supported?

You can connect to the contest site using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

Will I see a score when I submit a solution?

Yes. You will see a list of all submissions made by you in the leaderboard page. The submissions are scored on first-come-first-served basis. When a solution is scored, its score will appear in the leaderboard.

When will the results of the Online Qualification Round be announced?

We will publish a full list of results and notify all finalists on October 26, 2016.

Will you cover travel and accommodation for the Final Round?

Participants will be responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.

What programming language and tools can we use?

You can use the programming language(s) and tool(s) of your choice.

What are the other computer/technical requirements for the online around?

You will use your own computer for the Online Qualification Round. Typically, any Internet connection (like an ADSL line) should work.
